If you attend an external event (i.e. not a CSCB event), you need to provide proof of attendance in order to obtain points and/or credits.
This event has to have been approved for points/credits prior to submission of attendance. Refer to How to Look for Points/Credits Approved Activities to find out if an event you're looking for has been approved.
